REC+
The KCMO Rush REC+ Program is the perfect "bridge" for young athletes who have outgrown the casual nature of parks-and-recreation leagues but aren't quite ready to dive into the deep end of full-year competitive club soccer.
It offers a higher standard of training and competition while maintaining a manageable schedule for busy families.
What Makes REC+ Different?
The REC+ program is designed specifically for players who demonstrate a higher level of interest and skill. It provides a more structured environment to prepare them for the eventual transition to the Competitive (Premier) level.
- Elevated Competition: Instead of playing in-house, teams compete in the Heartland Rec League, providing a consistent and challenging environment against other regional clubs.
- Professional Influence: While maintaining the fun of soccer, the curriculum focuses on technical development and tactical awareness.
- All-Inclusive Gear: To make the transition easy, the official uniform is included in the program registration.
- Professional Coaches: Each Team will have a professional coach assigned to their team
Training & Development
The program prioritizes "touches on the ball" to build confidence and skill.
- Weekly Team Training: Teams meet once a week for a focused practice session led by coaches dedicated to player growth.
- School of Excellence (SOE): For the highly motivated player, REC+ includes an optional second night of training through the School of Excellence. This session focuses heavily on individual foot skills, agility, and 1v1 technical mastery.

Is REC+ Right for Your Player?
This program is the "sweet spot" for families looking for:
- Quality over Quantity: High-level coaching without the four-night-a-week commitment.
- Path to Competitive: A low-pressure way to see if your player is ready for the "Premier" club lifestyle.
- Community: Playing with peers who share a similar passion and drive for the game.
The Goal: To foster a love for the game through better training, ensuring that when a player is ready to make the jump to competitive soccer, they have the technical foundation to succeed.
